Last season we finished 11 points behind eventual Premier League champions Manchester United. Can we push them all the way this coming season?
Well if we are to then I firmly believe we will have to cut out the unnecessary draws that littered our campaign last time out against teams we should have been beating. Also we must do better against the other big four teams, Arsenal, Chelsea and United.
Okay our draws at home to Chelsea and Arsenal were unfortunate not to finish as victories, and we fully deserved our hard-fought two points at Stamford Bridge and the Emirates but after two demoralising defeats against United, we have to pick up more than four points from our matches against the other top four teams if we are to challenge for the title.
In what areas do you think we need to improve next season? Do you think we can become more consistent to make a strong challenge for the title? Let us know as usual below in the comments section.

Not going to be able to make it for many matches this season? Never been to Anfield before?
Well now's your chance to head up to the great city and watch the Reds, new signings et al in action in the final pre-season match of the season against Italian giants Lazio on Friday July 8th.
No, I'm not being paid by Liverpool FC for this plug, and unfortunately we don't have tickets to give away, but tickets, which are like gold dust during the season proper, are still available in the Anfield Road stand, the Centenary, Paddock and the Main Stand from http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/tickets/ticket_info_79h_20080808.htm.
Go on the price is only £7-17 per person so don't miss your chance to see our lads in action ahead of our Premiership winning season (let's all pray together!)

Yesterday we showed a great photoshop video of our captain Steven Gerrard. Well today we've got another for you, this time of our Spanish superstar Fernando Torres. Pretty impressive once again I think you'll agree?

A number of players have packed their bags this summer in readiness of a new challenge away from Anfield.
Peter Crouch has headed back down to the south coast of England and Portsmouth to be reunited with former manager Harry Redknapp. Harry Kewell's massive contract is no longer a burden to the Anfield coffers following his move to Turkish club Galatasaray. Popular gingernut John Arne Riise has packed his bags for the Eternal City of Rome after seven years on Merseyside as he prepares himself for the challenge of Serie A football. Meanwhile, Scott Carson has taken the shorter trip down the M6 in an effort to win himself regular first team football at West Bromich Albion while starlet Danny Guthrie has headed off in the opposite direction to team up with former Reds legend Kevin Keegan at Newcastle United.
There may be more to follow too with rumours persisting that Xabi Alonso will be sacrificed to raise money for other targets, while the futures of Charles Itandje, Jermaine Pennant, Andriy Voronin and Steve Finnan also remain shrouded in doubt.
So with a number of changes to the playing squad taking place at Anfield during this close-season, which former Red do you think will have the best season in his new surroundings next season? Let us know below.

The summer has seen a number of Premier League clubs, including ourselves, splashing out on some very impressive talent ahead of the new season. So we want to know who you think is the best signing so far this summer. Robbie Keane to Liverpool? Croatian star Luka Modric to Spurs? French starlet Samir Nasri to Arsenal? etc etc. All big signings. You decide which you think is the best.

Well, we're little over 17 days away from the big Premiership kick off now and Reds boss Rafa Benitez' squad strengthening for the summer is almost complete.
With five new arrivals at Anfield already, Rafa yesterday admitted that he will need to offload players before he is able to bring in further new recruits. But after Aston Villa's revelations that Gareth Barry will now remain at Villa Park next season (remains to be seen), will Rafa look elsewhere to further strengthen his options? Well only Rafa can answer that.
